Afi Antonio Foundation has embarked on a medical outreach in the Central Region of Ghana, impacting the lives of 284 locals This was with support from Ernest Chemist Ltd., Twellium Industries, Ghandour Cosmetics, Food4All Africa, National Blood Service and the Traditional Council of Kokoado/Apewosika. 16 pints of blood was also saved from the blood drive held to stock the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital blood bank during the exercise. Popular Ghanaian charity organization, Afi Antonio Foundation, has given back once more during a medical outreach that took place in the Central Region of Ghana. Information obtained by YEN.com.gh directly from the founder, Afi Antonio, indicates that this time, the outreach had support from Ernest Chemist Ltd., Twellium Industries, Ghandour Cosmetics, Food4All Africa, National Blood Service and the Traditional Council of Kokoado/Apewosika in the Central Region. The foundation was able to impact the lives of some 125 women (44%), 97 children (34%) and 63 men (22%) all making 284 beneficiaries in the community medical outreach. “We educated our beneficiaries on family planning methods, HIV/AIDS, proper nutrition, sanitation, diabetes and COVID-19. We also checked their vitals and provided malaria diagnosis and treatment,” Afi told YEN.com.gh It is indicated that the donation of dewormer tablets, multivitamins, painkillers, vitamin C, sanitizers and nose mask were made to beneficiaries based on their health needs. Moreover, the donation of clothes and food bags were made to the most vulnerable whilst breakfast was served to all that attended. 16 pints of blood was also saved from the blood drive held to stock the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital blood bank.
